Popular password manager LastPass recently disclosed a notice of a recent security incident involving their third-party cloud storage service. While they say an unauthorized party was able to gain access to some customer information, they were not able to get access to encrypted passwords.
These days you need a password for everything and we’re always talking with our clients about good password management, creating strong passwords, and not sharing passwords among accounts. Security incidents will happen, so it’s best to limit your exposure as much as possible.
