I’ve seen quite a few of these lately in one form or another. They claim to be from some major online vendor and have recently made a big charge to your bank account. Then they conveniently lay out their phone number for you to call to “cancel or modify” the “service”.

If you take a breath and examine the email, you can tell it’s a scam. You’ll see the Gmail address that it’s from. You’ll see that it’s completely lacking any company branding. Messages related to online orders are usually automated messages, but this one is directly from a member of the generic-sounding “Account & Service Helpline Team”. These scammers don’t want you to examine the email though. They want you to focus on the large sum of money in the message in hopes that you’ll ignore everything else about the email and quickly call the phone number to address this matter. And when you do call they will be happy to address this situation… all they need to process your refund is your banking information.
